The NHL Trade Deadline. For me it is one of the most exciting days in sports because there is always a lot of buildup towards potential blockbuster deals. Most of the time the day doesn’t live up to the hype, but the potential is there and I think that’s what draws so many fans in.
The biggest name out there is Rick Nash, the power forward from Columbus. Rangers fans like myself are particularly interested since his name has been linked with the Rangers for weeks now. If you’d like a recap of all that I suggest visiting Kevin DeLury’s New York Rangers Blog. I’m going to try and highlight all the deals that go down today. You can also monitor activity at TSN”s Trade Center.
Update 3:22pm EST- And that’s a wrap folks. Once again a lot of talk but no real action. The Rangers made one move to add some punch to their blueline but that’s it.

Waiting to see if they will blow my cap’s up today. Knuble, Semin, and Hamrlik are all thought to be on their way out

I’ve heard rumors of the Rangers being interested in Knuble. At first I thought “been there don that” but if he can be acquired cheaply, he could help the NYR powerplay.
